As the summer begins, you may be wondering about the best ways to return library materials. The information below should provide you with the information needed to get your materials back to us.

UW-Madison and UW System book loans have been extended to December 30th for graduate students and staff. Some Interlibrary Loan items may be due sooner. Check your library account for details.

If you wish to return your books before then, you may use the outside book return at Memorial Library, 728 State Street. Books and materials that you got from any campus location, including the Law Library, can be returned there. The book return is located on the south side of the building, to the right of the library’s main entrance, facing the University Book Store. This book return is open 24 hours a day.

Please do not return equipment (laptops, cameras, headphones, etc.) via the book return. The Welcome Desk at Memorial Library will be open 12-4 pm, Monday – Friday to take equipment returns, including laptops, cameras, and other non-book items. You can return equipment that you got from anywhere on campus, and it will be returned to the owning library.

Returned items are being quarantined before getting checked back in, so they will not come off your library account immediately. Please email the Law Library Circulation staff at circ@law.wisc.edu if you have any questions.
